Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur, Genting & Langkawi

Overview

Eight days that show three faces of Malaysia. Begin in Kuala Lumpur beneath the Petronas Twin Towers and among the Batu Caves, ride the cable car up to Genting Highlands for a cool day of entertainment above the clouds, then fly to Langkawi for mangroves, the SkyBridge and long afternoons on the Andaman Sea. Halal dining is the norm, and Egyptian passport holders enter without a prior visa.

Day by day

1. Day1

   Arrival in Kuala Lumpur

   Fly from Cairo to Kuala Lumpur via a Gulf hub. Meet and assist on arrival and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest.

2. Day2

   Kuala Lumpur city tour

   The Petronas Twin Towers with a visit to the Skybridge, KL Tower, a photo stop at the National Palace, Merdeka Square, the National Mosque and Central Market. The evening is spent in Bukit Bintang.

3. Day3

   Batu Caves and Genting Highlands

   Visit the Batu Caves in the morning, then drive to Genting Highlands and ride the Awana SkyWay cable car. Free time in the entertainment complexes and restaurants at 1,800 metres. Return to Kuala Lumpur in the evening.

4. Day4

   Putrajaya and free time

   A half day in the administrative capital Putrajaya: the pink Putra Mosque, Putra Bridge and Putra Square. The afternoon is free for shopping in the city's malls.

5. Day5

   Fly to Langkawi

   Domestic flight to Langkawi and transfer to your beach resort. The afternoon is free on Pantai Cenang beach.

6. Day6

   SkyCab and SkyBridge

   Ride the Langkawi SkyCab to the top of Mount Mat Cincang and walk the curved SkyBridge, then visit Oriental Village and Eagle Square. Sunset on the beach.

7. Day7

   Island-hopping

   A boat trip to Pulau Dayang Bunting and its freshwater lake, a swim at Pulau Beras Basah, and eagle watching over the water. Evening at leisure.

8. Day8

   Departure

   Transfer to Langkawi airport for the flight to Kuala Lumpur, connecting to your international flight to Cairo.
